Singer-songwriter, broadcaster, and community advocate Ayla Brown is proud to serve as a Trustee of the Wellspring Foundation, helping advance the organization’s mission of supporting individuals and families throughout the South Shore.
Brown officially joined the Wellspring Foundation as a trustee in 2025 after years of supporting the organization and witnessing its impact firsthand. Wellspring has been helping South Shore residents since 1985, providing critical services including food security, housing assistance, counseling, transportation, adult education, legal advocacy, and emergency support for individuals and families working toward greater stability and independence.
In addition to her work with the Foundation, Brown has become one of Wellspring’s most enthusiastic ambassadors. A lifelong bargain hunter and self-proclaimed thrift-shopping enthusiast, she frequently highlights Wellspring’s thrift stores in Weymouth and Hull, encouraging community members to support the organization through donations and shopping. Every purchase made at the thrift shops directly helps fund Wellspring’s life-changing programs and services.
Brown’s passion for thrifting was recently featured in South Shore Home, Life & Style Magazine, where she helped showcase Wellspring’s thriving thrift store program and the important role it plays in supporting local families. Her involvement reflects a belief that community support can take many forms—from volunteering and philanthropy to simply shopping local and giving gently used items a second life.
Known for her work as a former American Idol finalist, recording artist, broadcaster, and host of The Flyover Podcast, Brown has long been committed to using her platform to support organizations making a difference. Through her work with the Wellspring Foundation, she hopes to help raise awareness, expand community involvement, and ensure more South Shore families have access to the resources they need to thrive.
“Better Begins Here” is Wellspring’s guiding philosophy, and through her service as a Foundation Trustee, Brown is honored to help further that mission throughout the communities she calls home.
