Irked by apparent promise-breaking on the part of City Veterans Agent Peter Rego, who last year said Attleboro\'s parade would be alternating between Attleboro and South Attleboro, then reneged in this year\'s plan, South Attleboro Post 312 bowed out of the Attleboro parade and threatened to fund a South Attleboro parade on its own.
Instead, Post 312 will be holding a Memorial Day celebration 12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 24, featuring music by the Fat Cat Blue jazz band and Ayla Brown; a DARE display; hot dogs and a flag burning ritual.
