Ayla will be singing the National Anthem at the Boston Celtics opening Game at the Boston Garden Nov. 1st
If anyone has any promotional ideas, let us know.
probably the best thing we could do is get a team out there handing out stickers to all the people entering the game.

On another note / Boston magazine: Ayla will be in the December issue of Boston Magazine, available Nationwide.

Now i know this asked by many, but the Nation Anthenem's arent aired are they? (Usually i only see it for NFL) Though since its the opening day it could be different? Other then that, YAY!

frequently, it isn't aired for football games but I do recall seeing it for Basketball games.

I dunno what kind of assistance would be available on a mid week school work night but.. good luck.. I'm sure something cool will happen, at least passing out stickers either inside or outside the game.

Great news. I might be able to go to this and hand out stickers, but it depends how my work hours go. Great to see some more promotion.

Some people have mentioned whether or not she might be on TV when singing the National Anthem for the Celtics. I know for a fact that before every Bruins home game the national anthem is televised on NESN. If she happend to be at a game against a Canadian hockey team she could sing twice,as long as she doesn't mind O'Canada. The big problem is getting the mic out of Rena Rancourt's hand. That guy has been singing for the Bruins the last 30 years. I know that there have been plenty of other performers on occasion and they have been televised. Not sure what her restirctions are as far as appearance go but I though I would mention this.

yeah, usually on the celts and bruins they always show the singing of the anthem.
I'm pretty sure it'll be covered.

Today's Herald makes mention of Ayla's appearance tomorrow night with the Celtics in the article below. With the passing of "Red" Auerbach it sounds like it will be quite an emotional evening. Mr. Auerbach touched many lives during his time with the Celtics. Being a basketball player herself the passing of "Red" may have had a direct impact on her. I am sure Ayla is more than happy to be able to play a part in this tribute.

As we all know, Ayla will be at the Celtics' home opener tomorrow night to sing the National Anthem. As you may know, longtime Celtics figure Red Auerbach passed away a few days ago. The game will have a lot of big celebrities as spectators, and the night will be an emotional one.

So, I'm thinking the game will get a lot of news coverage, especially locally, but also on shows such as Sportscenter.

I was wondering if everyone in the Boston could watch the local news and NESN's Sportsdesk, as well as ESPN's Sportscenter to see if Ayla is mentioned or shown singing. This would be great publicity, and if anyone could tape these shows so that we could get them online, that would be amazing.

Sportsdesk & Sportscenter both start airing 11 PM at night, and carry through to the next morning. So there are many chances to see if Ayla is shown on any show.

I watch SportsDesk every morning so I'll be sure to look out for Ayla and if I see anything, I'll TiVo it tomorrow morning and tape it off the TV. Not sure if anything will be shown since it will most likely be just about 'Red' but I'll definitely check for everyone!

I'll also be DVRing the beginning of the Celt's game for whoever can't see it. I'm sure someone can probably get it to the computer better than me but if it's aired, I can have it very shortly after it's aired for whoever can't watch it.

I am planning to record the Celtics pre-game on a recordable DVD. I have never done this but I think it could probably be uploaded.

Scott is going to video tape Ayla's performance, just for back up

he is also giving away Ayla's singles and some merchandise tonite for halloween, they get a lot of kids.....

also looks like Kiss 108 is going to have Ayla back on the station, possibly next week,
WROR also wants her on, as well as WXLO & WZLX, (they love I Quit) scott is pushing all these buttons, they're gonna give sooner or later.
I am going to suggest they push Falling Into You, and KYB for Kiss , and Forward, & I Quit for the others. I'll let everyone know...

This is excellent news, Jim. It's so good to know radio (especially Kiss) are interested in having her on. And FIY/KYB to Kiss and Forward/IQ to the others sounds like a plan to me. I'm excited to see how things turn out.

What time does the game start? Im checking everything for it and all i saw was Wizards vs. Cavaliers....

She already sang. It was only available in New England and then in different supplemental NBA network packages. She did well, I could tell she was nervous, but she did a good job.
