well, it sounds like Ayla played a good game. I find it puzzling that BC has lost 5 games. When I saw them play, they were one shot away from beating the #5 ranked Ohio State squad, but they also lost to 2-10 Harvard

What cable/satalite provider do you have? Or do you just have basic cable? Cause if it's just basic cable then you most likely don't get NESN but if you have something like Comcast, Dish Network, etc. you get NESN.

ya, i don't have any of those...i have like basic cable, just something that the town offers...not the best but it's something! lol

ya, well anyways...i was able to go to the game on thursday. as most of you already found out, ayla started both halves, played the whole first half and most of the second half except for about 5 minutes or so, 2 fouls, and 12 points. over all ayla herself played a great game in my opinion! she was doing a really good job as far as defense and offense go. she seemed really in to it and everything. it was so weird though cuz i guess i was so into the game i wasn't paying attention to the actual score so i was thinking bc was ahead...well, suprise suprise, i looked at the score towards the end of the first half and it was like florida was winning by who knows how many! anyways, it was really fun even though they might've lost. it was hard fought. (and jen and liz, i had fun making fun of the cheerleaders by myself...ya, they brought them out for this game... ) after the game we waited around for about a half hour to say hi to ayla...she didn't really seem or sound good...as in sick. i was like aw! it almost seemed like she used her last ounce of energy on us. i felt so bad but hope she feels better soon!

Heidi, thanx for the personal recap of the game. So great that you and Liz and Jen got to go see it. Bummer about how Its a real competitive division, noone is in that league if they aren't good so.... some games you win em some games you don't. Hopefully, the team will pull it together and utilize their strengths to pull some more wins for the remainder of the season.

I went last night?? I had school today there's no way I could've gone haha. But yeah, the main problem, which I definitely agree with the article on, is the height problem. But the ACC is known for being a great division and I believe BC will rise up to the occasion once they get used to playing tougher teams.

ACC is definitely tough, I think the top 3 teams in the country right now are ACC teams.

ya, it was their first acc game so at least they have more to come where they have chances to win. but florida seemed really good, and ayla herself that night...wow! that's probably one of the times i've seen her play that good. but ya, it's not like the team played lowsy or something cuz they did good, but florida was just really good i guess...

and ya, liz and jen didn't go...i was referring to the holy cross game we went too. and ya jen, nothing does beat them! lol.

Well Harvard is litterally minutes away from BC. Like it's so often the case in sports, when there's a local rilvalry....the weaker team win more often than they should. The Harvard girls were waiting for that game since the season began.

The problem with the Eagles for me is a lack of experience. When the other team starts to score a couple pts in a row, it looks like it takes a while for the to react... like it happened against Maine. I think that the suspension to Rebecca Miles is hurting them a lot. They could use her size and experience right now. But anyway, I have faith that they're will be a well oil machine when it's March madness time. Go Eagles.

How many wins do you need to get into the playoffs or finals for college? Same as professional. I should know this but I don't sadly.

it usually depends on how many teams there are in the league...basically whoever has the best record. i thought it was something like maybe loosing 5 games?? or maybe i'm thinking of something else...

yeah, saw that article......it's tough, BC is a young team, I have watched some of the highlights and vid's on Fox Sports Atlantic, and the other teams are big, and have more experience, as the BC coach stated.... watching the clips of the other teams you can see how seasoned those top teams are...........looks to me BC is coming in to a New Generation.....that has to build, and get strong....Ayla will be part of that new force to come.....
Ayla, and Elizabeth really got thrown into the fire.........

Bring it on for the tournaments Lady Eagles.

how come we don't hear about the Sophormores and Juniors.

That must be hard to take if your a sophormore or a junior or even a senior not getting played... I'm sure the environment gets a little touchy there with these kind of issues

Does BC have that many sophmores? I just remember looking at the roster and seeing a lot of Seniors and Freshmen....Kentish is a junior though....

I wish I knew more about her and basketball. I dont even know which position she plays.

She plays forward and she's a gaurd. She's really good at defense, I would not want to be gaurding her. I go to all of their home games and watch all the aways on the computer and tv. I'm only 15 minutes down the road from BC, so I go there a lot. She's a really good player, but she's my second favorite. My first favorite is Stef Murphy because she's my cuzn.
