On Wednesday, May 23, Ayla joined The 10! Show in Philadelphia to talk basketball, music, and her upcoming shows with Josh Turner! In this segment, Ayla is singing her songs, “Miss you Already,” co-written by Ayla Brown, Kelly Archer and Charlie Hutto and “Beat by a Girl,” co-written by Ayla, Charlie Hutto and Aaron Rice. Everyone in the audience received a Sixers rally towel in spirit of the playoff game, and a copy of Ayla’s self-titled CD.

Comcast Sports Net Philadelphia ran a special feature on Ayla during this week’s “Sixers City” episode. Ayla has been the Sixers anthem singer for the entire 2012 season. “I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. Adam Aron is a great man and I couldn’t be happier here in Philly,” says Ayla. “The fans are great and every game I meet more. Now I have to just get them to buy my album!” laughs Ayla. In the feature, Ayla mentions her Twitter ticket giveaways. If you want a chance to win Sixers tickets, or stay updated with Ayla and her career, follow Ayla on Twitter @AylaBrown.
Stilettos, located inside the King of Prussia Mall right outside of Philadelphia, has joined forces with Ayla in an exciting new endorsement deal! Jeff, the owner of the shoe boutique, recently saw Ayla sing at one of the Sixers games and approached her immediately after the game. “I was so honored that Jeff and Stilettos want to be a part of this journey,” Ayla said. “Every woman has a love for shoes, so I am grateful for this partnership!”

The Philadelphia 76ers new Chief Executive Officer Adam Aron wanted the national anthem to be something special, and not just a reason to skip the first few minutes of the game. So he hired former American Idol contestant Ayla Brown to do the singing.
Maybe it wasn’t on par with “Ayla Brown, you’re the next American Idol!” but hearing “Welcome to the NBA, Ayla Brown,” instead is definitely a close second for the young singer.
These were the words spoken to Ayla Brown, 23, when the Philadelphia 76ers new Chief Executive Officer Adam Aron congratulated her on being hired as the new in-house national anthem singer for every home game of the 76ers.
Aron approached the young singer and stand-out collegiate basketball player after the new CEO heard a clip of her singing with the Boston Pops on YouTube over the summer. He was so impressed with Brown’s voice he contacted her to fill a role similar to the one that Lauren Hart enjoys with the Philadelphia Flyers. Hart, the daughter of legendary Flyers announcer Gene Hart, has sung the national anthem before every home Flyers game since the 1997-1998 season.
“He (Aron) pitched the idea to me that he wanted the national anthem to be a really spectacular moment, not just something where people could afford to come to a game late and miss,” Brown said. “He saw the arrangement I did with the Boston Pops orchestra, it sold him, and he wanted me to do something similar with the Philadelphia Orchestra.”
Just like that, Brown found herself in the NBA. Brown sings the anthem before each 76ers home game, backed by a recording of the anthem by the Philadelphia Orchestra.
For the past month, Ayla has been singing the National Anthem at every Sixers home game. If you haven’t caught a game, you definitely should. There are a lot of special deals going on right now on the Sixers website. Check out the Sixers’ website.
But those aren’t the only deals going on! Ayla has decided that she wants to reward her twitter followers by giving away two Sixers tickets to every home game! “I have been embraced so well by the fans of Philadelphia,” says Brown. “This is the least I can do to give back to those who support my career!”
So listen up! This is how it’s going to work. Every day that the Sixers have a home game Ayla will tweet a question to her followers. She will then give the winner two tickets to that night’s game. (And these are the good seats people!) Now, she may pick the first person to answer the question correctly, it may be someone who has followed her and tweeted her a lot, or it could be someone she met at a game that’s posted a picture of them at her merchandise table. There are many different ways to win tickets to the game.
So watch the video below, tell people if THEY want good tickets to the biggest games at the Wells Fargo Center they should follow Ayla on Twitter (@aylabrown), and spread the word! First question is tomorrow, 12/25/12:
