AYLA BROWN TO PERFORM AT NEPONSET VALLEY
WALK TO END ALZHEIMER’S
American Idol Finalist Supports Alzheimer’s Cause

Walpole, Mass. (August 20, 2012) – The Alzheimer’s Association announced that American Idol finalist Ayla Brown will perform at the 2012 Neponset Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s.® The event takes place at Bird Middle School, 625 Washington Street, Walpole, Massachusetts on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Ayla’s parents, Senator Scott Brown and wife, Gail Huff, former WCVB Channel 5 news reporter, are serving as honorary chairs.

Ayla Brown was a semifinalist on “American Idol” in 2006. She has since played basketball for Boston College and is now working in Nashville as a country artist. With four albums to her credit, she continues to perform locally and nationally.

“We are very excited that Ayla and her family have chosen to actively support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said James Wessler, President/CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, MA/NH Chapter. “They are helping to increase public awareness and bring much needed funding to Alzheimer’s programs and research. They are true champions for the cause.”

Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on September 22, 2012. Ayla will perform before the Walk kick-off. The event includes raffles, vendors, food, entertainment and educational opportunities.

“This is a great opportunity to enjoy Ayla’s wonderful talent and to help the cause by signing up to participate in the Neponset Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said Wessler.
